Electrochemical Determination of Lead Using A Composite Sensor Obtained from Low-Cost Green Materials:Graphite/Cork

The purpose of this study was to develop an inexpensive, simple, and highly selective cork-modified carbon paste electrode for the determination Pb(II) by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) square-wave (SWASV). Among cork–graphite electrodes investigated, one containing 70% w/w showed highest sensitivity in aqueous solutions. Under SWASV conditions, its linear range relative standard deviation are equal 1–25 µM 1.4%, respectively; limit detection complies with value recommended World Health Organization. To optimize operating selectivity accuracy analysis were further investigated acidic media. Finally, successfully applied natural water samples, proving be a sensitive electrochemical sensor that meets stringent environmental control requirements.
